This is the tree under which Buddhism started. Its known as a Bhodi or Bo tree. Ficus religiosa is its scientific classification name but its a lovely shady tree under which to do anything including meditate.

Buddha’s insight or elightenment under the bhodi tree is incidental or otherwise, this tree has tremendous medicinal and air-purifying values, unlike other trees. Good posting there.
and this tree is called “Pepal” here i think its simpler than Ficus religiosa.
